Important Update: New EU Import Regulations

As of 31st January 2025, all European Union (EU) imports into Great Britain (GB) will require safety and security declarations.

These declarations are crucial for ensuring the safety and security of goods entering the UK. By implementing this new system, the UK government aims to combat illicit goods such as drugs and weapons, while streamlining legitimate trade.

What does this mean for you?

  • Hauliers and Carriers: You are legally responsible for ensuring that the necessary safety and security declarations are submitted for your shipments. You can either submit these declarations directly or delegate this task to a third party.
  • Importers: While you are not directly responsible for submitting the declarations, it's essential to work closely with your hauliers and carriers to ensure that the required information is provided in a timely manner.
